The Red Mule Runners Scholarship Fund

Purpose:To award two (2) $1,000 Scholarships, one each to a deserving boy and girl.

Qualifications: Any graduating high school senior from an accredited high school within Hernando County, pursuing a post high school education, and has participated in high school cross-country and/or track, is eligible.

Requirements: A typed essay (400 words minimum to 500 words maximum) expressing how running has been a positive influence on your present life and future goals.

Address your future plans, sports achievements in cross-country and/or track, academic achievements, and community involvement.

Include your name, address, telephone number, and name of your high school and the schools to which you plan to apply.

References:Attach on a separate sheet of paper two (2) non-related character references including their name, address, telephone, and occupation.

Interviews: The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to interview the finalists to make their final determination.
